Yael Herszkopf Mayer, M.S, CCC-SLP 

 

Yael is a bilingual English/Spanish Speech and Language Pathologist. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad de Iberoamérica in Costa Rica and went on to receive her Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology- Bilingual Extension from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2010.

 

Throughout her career, Yael has provided Speech and Language Therapy to children and young adults from 1 to 21 years of age with a variety of diagnoses, such as autism, down syndrome, hearing impairments, developmental delays, and apraxia. 

 

Yael has experience working in private practices, day cares, preschools, and non-profit organizations. She collaborates with parents, teachers, audiologists, pediatricians, social workers, and occupational therapists in order to provide her patients the best service possible.

She is also the creator of Learning with Yaya. A collection of books, songs, and videos to help children develop their language skills.

 

Yael holds a Maine and Florida State License, and a Certificate of Clinical Competency granted by the American and Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
